LADY GAGA Gets Tattoo On Shaved Head

On Thursday night, Lady Gaga celebrated the release of her Fame fragrance by getting a tattoo on her newly-shaved head — while lying inside a giant perfume bottle, which was placed in the middle of the party.
As fans and friends looked on, the “Born This Way” singer was curled up as a gray-haired man in a white shirt and suspenders inked a Statue of Liberty-esque cherub with wings on the back of her head, which she shaved days earlier as an ode photographer Terry Richardson’s mother who recently passed.
But not before she downed tequila shots and smoked a bunch of cigarettes to numb the pain and calm her nerves.

Police nabs Ex-Minister with stolen petroleum products

According to Daily times, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, the onetime Minister of Interior and the present owner of integrated Oil and Gas Limited was on Friday apprehended for his connection in the seizure of a vessel\M.T. Grace’ loaded with suspected stolen petroleum products.
The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Akpobolokemi disclosed that the hunt for the sponsors of pirates led to the connection of some stolen products to the Integrated Oil and Gas tank farm.
Akpobolokemi further revealed that Integrated Oil and Gas premises is presently being shut down pending investigation.
The DG said that NIMASA has discovered that there are “big men” who fund piracy but the maritime agency together with other security forces will find the people behind the sale and purchase of stolen products and bring them to book.
He said; “You recalled we had cause to parade some pirates here and we did say that we were going to continue to look for those who were behind these pirates because we came to the realisation that behind the facade there are the kingpins and the big men who facilitate piracy.”
“So in line with our promise to the Nigerian public, we intensified our search for the big men behind the scene and we are happy to tell you today that we have been able to trace them to a company, a major company integrated oil and gas.

20 Year Old Undergraduate Miss Grace In Benin Escaped From Ritualist

A first year student of Health Technology at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Miss Grace Ayetan (20), at the weekend narrated her ordeal with ritualists to The Nation in Benin, the Edo State capital.
Grace, who was accompanied by her father, Mr. James Ayetan said: “I boarded a bus from Ring-Road to school and there were other passengers in the vehicle. At Five Junction, the bus stopped and the conductor went down to pour water into the radiator. That i
s the last thing I remembered. We all fell asleep. “When another passenger, a woman, woke us up later, the bus was in the bush.
“We started shouting, but the driver and the conductor brought out a gun and told us to be quiet.
“They took us to an underground house in the forest and put us into different rooms. They chained us and hung our bags around our necks. We went without food and water for days.
“After beheading a woman and her baby, a fight ensued between the ritualists over what to do with the rest of us. In the process, a bunch of keys fell from one of them.
“The fight drew the attention of the guards at the main entrance who took the parties into a room to settle the dispute.
“That gave one of us the opportunity to pick the keys and unlock the chains. That was how we escaped.”
Grace said a good Samaritan took them out of the forest and brought them to Benin.
She advised the public to be careful when boarding commercial vehicles. Mr. Ayetan urged security agents to curb the activities of ritualists

World's Smallest Bodybuilder Dies at Age 23

The world's tiniest bodybuilder, Aditya 'Romeo' Dev, died today at age 23.
Early this morning, Dev was rushed to Satyam Hospital in Punjab, India, where doctors were unable to revive him.
"He was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state," Dr. Nerraj Chandanone at Satyam Hospital told The Daily Mail. "It was due to massive bleeding which had caused brain damage or aneurism bleeding. There were very rare chances of him surviving."
In 2008, Dev had been diagnosed with two brain aneurisms, a common symptom of being a dwarf. Doctors had warned Dev that at any time, without warning, his aneurism could burst and lead to a fatal stroke.
Dev's father, Anil Dev Sharma, 53, and mother, Rakesh Bala, 49, are devastated at the news of their son's death.
"He was absolutely fine until last night when he suddenly fell unconscious. We rushed him to the hospital and he fell into a coma, he was unconscious all night. Doctors said the nerve supplying blood to his brain had ruptured, causing his death," Sharma told local reporters. "It's a huge loss for our family, we will be grieving his death for the rest of our life. We were told by doctors many years ago that he may die at an early age. All these years we prayed for his long life."
Standing at only 2 feet, 9 inches and a mere 19 pounds, Dev told " Good Morning America" in 2009 the most he ever lifted was 10 pounds - about half his weight.
"From the very beginning I liked lifting the dumbbells and lifting weights," he said through a translator. "I used to watch wrestling when I was a small kid and that's how I got inspired."
His hard work paid off. The Guinness Book of World Records dubbed him the world's smallest body builder in 2006.
In 2009, Dev told "GMA" he considered himself to be the strongest dwarf in the world. He used a regimen that included 3.3-pound custom-designed dumbbells from his trainer and was able to bulk up to the size of an average 2-year-old.
His chest measurement was 20 inches and his exercise routine included aerobics and dance. Dev said he never let his size stop him from doing anything, even though his height was only about as tall as a baseball bat.

U.S Embassy Warns Americans In Nigeria

The United States embassy in Nigeria on Thursday warned Americans about the threat of attacks by extremist groups following the violence in Libya and Egypt, urging extra caution.
The “emergency message” issued to Americans living in Africa’s most populous country came after militants attacked the U.S consulate in Benghazi, killing the country’s ambassador and three other Americans, hours after a mob attacked the U.S embassy in Cairo, AFP news agency reports.
“Extremists may attempt to target U.S citizens and other Westerners in Nigeria,” the embassy said in a statement.
It noted that radical groups in Nigeria have killed hundreds in recent months in attacks on a range of targets.
“The situation in Nigeria remains fluid and unpredictable,” the statement said, urging Americans “to consider their personal security.”
On Wednesday, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, ordered “24-hour water-tight security” at all foreign embassies.
The attacks in Cairo and Benghazi were initially believed to have been perpetrated by mobs outraged over an amateur Internet film made in America that insulted Islam but U.S officials later said the Benghazi attack might have been planned.
Religiously-linked violence has killed thousands of Nigerians in recent years. Radical Islamist group Boko Haram is blamed for more than 1,400 deaths since 2010, while sectarian clashes between Muslim and Christian communities have killed thousands more.

We Need To Give Obama Four More Years - Snoop

Snoop has  endorsed President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.Speaking at a panel at the Toronto International Film Festival late last week, Snoop Lion, the rapper and actor formerly known as Snoop Dogg, laid out what GQ described as an “oddly compelling”—albeit expletive-filled—argument for keeping Obama in the White House, reports The Ticket.
“We need to give Obama four more years,” Snoop said at the conference. “Bush fucked up for eight years, so you gotta at least give him eight years. He cleaned half the shit up in four years.”
News of the endorsement was joked about on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday, when the late-night host said that in addition to his endorsement of Obama, Snoop “also endorsed a sleeve of Samoa Girl Scout cookies.”
Obama is not the only candidate in the 2012 presidential race to receive a hip-hop endorsement.
Earlier this month, Nicki Minaj contributed a surprising verse to a new Lil Wayne mixtape. On it, she sings, “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches are fucking up the economy.”

Suspected Kidnappers of ESUT VC Arrested

Suspected kidnappers of the Vice-Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Prof Cyprian Onyeji, have been nabbed by operatives of the anti-kidnapping squad of the Enugu State Police Command.
The nine-man gang was said to have confessed to having carried out series of kidnapping in the South-east region, including the recent kidnap of Onyeji, who regained freedom 20 days ago.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ebere Amarizu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said members of the syndicate were arrested yesterday after a heavy gun battle with security operatives.
Security agents had surrounded their hideout at Safety Hotel, Uwani in Enugu South Local Government Area following a tip-off.
Narrating how the suspects were arrested, Amarizu said policemen who had been on the trail of the suspects since the kidnap of the VC last month, arrested three of the suspects at about 4pm Wednesday, who led them to the others. Amarizu said the arrest of Osinachi Iheanacho, Ejike Aba and Obinna Okoro from a commercial bus at Agbogugu, Awgu on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, was as a result of intelligence report gathered by the police.

20 ministers listed in 2015 gubernatorial race, Presidency reacts

Not long after signing performance contract with ministers, the presidency is said to be angry at the discovery that no fewer than 20 of the 40 serving ministers have commenced plans to contest governorship elections in their states. Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune confirmed that despite warnings by President Goodluck Jonathan that it is too early to start talking of 2015, nearly half of the members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) are already oiling their political wheels for the 2015 governorship race in their respective states.
Top flight sources  told the Nigerian Tribune that the president was alarmed by the activities of the affected ministers who were reported to be battling other political forces in their states, thereby distracting them from the performance of their statutory duties at the federal level.

The activities of the affected ministers were alleged to have contributed to the strained relationship between the presidency and some of the sitting governors, who believed that the ministers had the blessing of  the president.

Besides affecting their job performance and reportedly rupturing relations with some governors, there were also questions of integrity, as some allegations were already doing the rounds that the affected ministers were  involved in what is called  "resource grab" in order to build a war chest to finance their campaigns.

Investigations by Nigerian Tribune showed that 20 serving ministers are involved in the 2015 race with the South-South and South-West  accounting for three each; South-East has four, while the North-Central and North-East have three each. The North-West is said to have four on the list, a source disclosed.

It was learnt that while making  subterranean campaigns for the governorship race, some of the ministers had already set target dates for their exit from  the cabinet with the earliest being  May next year.

Meanwhile, the ambitious ministers were said to include both senior ministers and ministers of state.

It was confirmed that while the president is studying the performance indicators of the ministries in line with the submission of an assessment team raised early in the year, the latest development had provided further avenues for the president to X-ray his ministers along the line of financial integrity.

It is, however, not clear what the president intends to do to the affected ministers even though sources said chronic cases may get booted out of the cabinet even before May next year.

U.S. Ambassador to Libya killed

Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya killed along with three others in a rocket attack outside the American Consulate in Benghazi—ignited by protesters angry over a film they say insults Prophet Muhammad—was "a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States," President Barack Obama said in his initial statement Wednesday condemning the attack.
Initial reports said the slain embassy staffers—who also include foreign service information management officer Sean Smith—were trying to flee the consulate building when they were fired upon. According to the Associated Press, a Libyan doctor who treated Stevens said the diplomat died of severe asphyxiation from smoke inhalation and that he tried for 90 minutes to revive him.
Stevens, 52, was the first U.S. ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979, when Adolph Dubs, U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, was gunned down in a kidnapping attempt.
"Throughout the Libyan revolution, [Stevens] selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi," Obama said. "As ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya's transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my administration, and deeply saddened by this loss."
Stevens, a California native and U.C.-Berkeley grad, was a 21-year veteran of foreign service, the White House said.
"I had the privilege of swearing in Chris for his post in Libya only a few months ago," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a separate statement. "He spoke eloquently about his passion for service, for diplomacy and for the Libyan people. This assignment was only the latest in his more than two decades of dedication to advancing closer ties with the people of the Middle East and North Africa.
"As the conflict in Libya unfolded, Chris was one of the first Americans on the ground in Benghazi," Clinton continued. "He risked his own life to lend the Libyan people a helping hand to build the foundation for a new, free nation. He spent every day since helping to finish the work that he started. Chris was committed to advancing America's values and interests, even when that meant putting himself in danger."
In response to the attack, the United States is "deploying elite Marine counterterrorism teams to Libya," Foreign Policy reports. The Pentagon is sending Fleet Anti-Terrorism Teams, or FAST teams, a U.S. defense official told the magazine.
"It's especially tragic because Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city he fought to save," Obama said later Wednesday morning in hastily arranged public remarks in the Rose Garden of the White House.
Speaking at an impromptu press conference in Jacksonville, Fla., on Wednesday, Mitt Romney condemned Tuesday's attacks as "disgusting" and "outrageous," but he also attacked the Obama administration for standing by a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo that he claimed was an "apology" for American values.
Late Tuesday, Romney issued a statement saying it was "disgraceful that the Obama administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks." On Wednesday, he stood by his criticism of the White House.
Ambassador Chris Stevens considers himself fortunate to participate in this incredible period of change and hope for Libya. As the President's representative, his job is to develop a strong, mutually beneficial relationship between the United States and Libya. Ambassador Stevens was the American representative to the Transitional National Council in Benghazi during the revolution.
When he's not meeting with government officials or foreign diplomats, you can find Ambassador Stevens meeting with Libyan academics, business people, and civil society activists, exploring Libya's rich archaeological sites, and enjoying Libya's varied cuisine.
After several diplomatic assignments in the Middle East and North Africa, Ambassador Stevens understands and speaks Arabic and French. He likes the Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli and hopes you will, too.
"I had the honor to serve as the U.S. envoy to the Libyan opposition during the revolution," Stevens said in May in a video introducing himself to the Libyan people as the new U.S. ambassador there. "And I was thrilled to watch the Libyan people stand up and demand their rights.
"Growing up in California I didn't know much about the Arab world," Stevens continued. "I traveled to North Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer, worked as an English teacher in a town in the high Atlas mountains in Morocco for two years and quickly grew to love this part of the world.
"We know Libya is still recovering from an intense period of conflict," he added. "There are many courageous Libyans who wear the scars of that battle."
